Once every four weeks, at Paunahari.Fidus — the temple at Fidus Central — there is a moment when three flames burn together.
One that has been burning every day. One that has been burning for four weeks and is reaching its end. One that will carry the next four weeks.
The akhand jyot — the unbroken flame — was lit during Navratras in March 2025. It has continued burning since, kept unbroken by a simple process that is repeated every four weeks: the wick is replaced, ghee is filled, the flame is passed from one diya to the next, then back to the original. For three brief moments in the cycle, three flames burn at once.
Different people might find different meaning in it. For me, it is simple.
The past is giving way to the future. The present stands witness.
